COOL BRITANNIA, London and Cape Town, February – July 2010

Presenter

  • Did the voice announcements for every act including Estelle, Fat Boy Slim, Die Antwoord, HHP and Dirty Skirtz over the period of the festival to audiences of up to 10,000 people
  • Interviewed the talent and guests at the event, including Estelle
  • Represented Cool Britannia on many national radio stations
  • Represented Cool Britannia in many press and camera opportunities

Event Manager

  • Put together the entire artist programme with Clive Newman
  • Artist Liaison for the entire event. Managed a team of 11 staff to operate the airport, hotels, backstage and stage management
  • Helped with sponsorship deals
  • Aided press, PR and marketing team

  • Hosted the couture fashion show at the CTICC, next to international DJ Dino Moran

  • Set up a new team whose primary focus was headhunting accountants for roles within other Professional Services firms
  • Advanced understanding of all areas of finance
  • Interviewed relevant candidates from junior to partner/director level

  • Pitched for new business and representing company at financial evenings
  • Mapped and researched any company for relevant candidates.

Charity Work

  • Sourced all the designers for SE ONE fashion show, which raised £15,000 for the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust in January 2009
  • Started and solely organised the Oxford Brookes fashion show, which raised £500 for Breast Cancer Research in November 2006
