BRITISH ADVENTURER’S RECORD BREAKING 2000 MILE KICK-SCOOTER AROUND ITALY THIS SUMMER:
SCOOT THE BOOT
British Adventurer Emily Bell is planning to set off on a different type of challenge. This summer, Bell will be leaving London to reach the starting point of her 2000 mile kick scooter around Italy. She expects to take two months to kick a scooter around the whole country.
Bell will be fundraising for Breast Cancer Awareness charity, CoppaFeel! The charity was set up by Kris Hallenga, who was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer at the age of 23. Their aim is to ensure young people check their boobs regularly and for all breast cancers to be found at a treatable stage.
This is Bell’s first solo expedition. She has previously Stand Up Paddleboarded 1001 miles down the Missouri River as the blogger on Dave Cornthwaite’s support team. She is set to cycle around the world in 2014. With many micro-adventures up her sleeve before that.
There will be many challenges en route for Bell. With extreme temperatures, over-exposure, dramatic hills and rough terrain. What’s more, Bell has only just started trying to scooter.
